About his documentary work
"There is a type of disappointment, rather than pride hanging above my entire documentary work. I’m disappointed with the fact, that there were so many times I picked up the camera, and missed feeling the moment with the normalcy I should've felt it. My obsession in photography is more of an obsession of some sort of selector or collage maker. I’d like to just collage moments, and let someone else do the dirty work of documenting. The development of technology could soon make this possible, there are so many things already recorded on security camera footage, and ideally I would just like to "pull out" frames from these recordings and order them in provocative combinations. I do less and less of documenting in a diary sense, and I do more targeted projects, a combination of documentary and directed photography, but coincidence and mistake are still the main drivers of this process."
On the exhibition O izložbi Transitions (Student Center billboards, summer 2009)
"This is my only exhibition so far. I’m generally not excited about gallery showings, I feel it’s a type of castrated way to do it…I think in the future I’ll look for other ways to present my work… The manner of presenting was defined even at the time when the photographs were being taken, I wanted to place anonymous intimate stories of my friends and place them aggressively in the public context, to slow down the accidental passer-by for a moment...I wanted to also play with the language of billboards, in that marketing sense. Here we sold melancholy"
