Josip Klarica
Born in Belgrade, on June 18th, 1946. He studied photography at the School for Applied Arts in Zagreb from 1961 to 1966, and in 1969 he enrolled the Carl’s university in Prag at the Film Academy – Cinematography Department. 1977. graduated, and then returned to Zagreb where he’s been living and working since 1977. During his professional career he's been working as a cameraman, and commercial and art photographer. As an art photographer he studied the history of photography techniques and photochemical processes. He successfully reconstructed several old photography procedures which he presented on art exhibitions. In his work he uses camera obscura and a replica of the panorama chamber (Paris 1845), which he reconstructed himself, and adapted to his work.
